What is Akoni Loop?
Akoni Loop is an AI listing-optimisation service for online stores in Nigeria. AI agents run inside your store, track market signals, and rewrite and republish your product listings so they rank in search results and get cited by AI shopping assistants. It is built by The Akoni Global and is in early access.
What is GEO, and how is it different from SEO?
SEO (search engine optimisation) helps a listing rank in search results. GEO (generative engine optimisation) helps a listing be the one an AI assistant cites or recommends when a shopper asks a question. Akoni optimises every listing for both: structured data, answer-ready copy with concrete facts, current availability and delivery, and the buyer's language.
Which market signals does it watch?
Five kinds: search demand (phrases rising or falling, by city), competitor listings (price moves, new titles, delivery claims), reviews (what buyers praise or complain about), stock (low, out, back in) and seasonality (back-to-school, Detty December, Ramadan, salary week).
Does it change my listings without my approval?
The first rewrite for each store is reviewed and approved by the store owner before anything is published. After that, every change is versioned and logged with the signal behind it, and any version can be rolled back in one click. Language variants can be switched off per store.
Which stores and platforms does it work with?
Storefront connectors come first: Shopify and WooCommerce. Marketplace mirrors and social catalogues (for example Jumia, Konga, Jiji, Instagram and WhatsApp catalogues) are on the roadmap. Platform names belong to their owners; connectors imply no partnership.
Which languages does it write in?
Nigerian English first, with Pidgin, Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo variants where a store's buyers search that way. Variants are generated per listing and reviewed by native speakers before first publish.
Where does it run and where is data stored?
Akoni Loop is designed on Amazon Web Services (Amazon Bedrock, AWS Lambda, Amazon OpenSearch, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon EventBridge). Store data is stored in the AWS region selected for the service and is not sold or used to train models for another store. The GPU path for fine-tuning, embedding, reranking and serving is planned on NVIDIA NeMo, NeMo Retriever and NIM.
